1. Who we are

The website https://fourpixelsweb.com (the “Site”) is operated by 4 Pixels, Serbia (“4 Pixels”, “we”, “us”).

For the purposes of applicable personal data protection law, 4 Pixels is the controller of personal data processed through the Site.

Privacy contact: fourpixelsweb@gmail.com.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy explains what personal data we process when you browse the Site, change language or cookie settings, leave a comment, subscribe to comment or post notifications where that option is available, or contact us by email or Telegram.

The Site is an informational website for WordPress, web development, SEO and website support services. It does not offer public user registration, customer accounts, a shopping cart or online payments.

3. Data we collect and why

Technical and security data

When you visit the Site, the web server and security tools may process your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, referring URL, requested pages, date and time of access, and technical or security events. We use this data to deliver the Site, maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose errors and protect our systems. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website.

Language and privacy preferences

The Site may store your selected language and cookie preference so that it can display the requested version and remember your choice. These are necessary for the functionality you request and are not used for advertising.

Comments

When you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comment form, normally your comment, name, email address and optional website, together with your IP address and browser user-agent string. We use this information to publish and moderate the comment, recognise follow-up comments and detect spam or abuse. Your approved comment and chosen display name are public. Your email address and IP address are not displayed publicly. Do not include confidential or sensitive personal information in a public comment.

Email notifications

If the comment form offers an optional checkbox for follow-up comments or new-post notifications and you select it, we use your email address to send the notifications you requested. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email. This processing is based on your consent.

Direct enquiries

If you contact us by email or Telegram, we process the contact details, account information and message content you choose to provide, including any website link or project information. We use it to answer your enquiry, discuss requested services and take steps before entering into a contract. Telegram also processes information under its own privacy policy.

4. Gravatar

An anonymised string created from the email address used for a comment (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. After a comment is approved, a Gravatar profile image associated with that email address may appear publicly beside the comment. Gravatar is operated by Automattic. See the Automattic Privacy Policy: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Necessary cookies

Necessary cookies support core WordPress functions, remember the selected language and store the cookie choice. Our consent cookie fp_cookie_consent is stored for 180 days. Blocking necessary cookies in your browser may prevent some features from working correctly.

Comment cookies

If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. This is for convenience so you do not need to enter those details again when leaving another comment. WordPress comment cookies normally last for one year. They are set only if you select the separate checkbox in the comment form.

Administrator cookies

WordPress may set temporary, login and editor cookies for authorised site administrators. These cookies are not intended to track ordinary public visitors and do not create public visitor accounts.

Changing your choice

You can reopen the consent settings at any time using the Cookies button. Withdrawing consent prevents Yandex Metrica from loading on future page views and removes accessible Yandex Metrica cookies and local storage from this Site. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place lawfully before consent was withdrawn, and it may not remove data already retained by a third-party provider.

6. Yandex Metrica analytics

We use Yandex Metrica counter 111459298 only after you consent to analytics cookies. If you choose “Necessary only”, the Yandex Metrica script is not loaded.

After consent, Yandex Metrica may process online identifiers and cookies, IP address and approximate location, browser and device information, referring page, pages visited, visit time and duration, link, click and scrolling activity, and session interaction data. Session Replay (Webvisor), click maps and link tracking are enabled. Yandex states that recognised confidential form fields are masked; nevertheless, do not submit sensitive information through public comment fields.

We use analytics to understand how the Site is used, identify technical or usability problems and improve content. The legal basis is your consent. Session Replay recordings are currently available in Yandex Metrica for up to 15 days; other analytics data is retained according to the counter settings and Yandex’s applicable terms and policies.

Yandex may process or transfer data in countries outside Serbia and the European Economic Area, including countries that may not provide an equivalent level of data protection. Yandex describes its transfer safeguards in its privacy policy: https://yandex.com/legal/confidential/en/.

7. Embedded content and external links

Articles may include embedded content or links from other websites, such as videos, images, articles or Telegram. Embedded content behaves as if you visited the provider’s website directly. The provider may collect data, use cookies and monitor your interaction, particularly if you are logged in to that service. External services are governed by their own privacy policies. If an embedded service requires non-essential cookies, it should be activated only after the appropriate consent mechanism is in place.

8. Who receives your data

We do not sell personal data. Access may be provided only as needed to:

  • hosting, infrastructure, backup, security and website maintenance providers;
  • Automattic services used for Gravatar and, where enabled, WordPress/Jetpack comment or notification features;
  • an automated spam-detection service, if enabled for comments;
  • Yandex Metrica, but only after analytics consent;
  • email or messaging providers when you contact us; and
  • public authorities or professional advisers where disclosure is required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Some providers may act as independent controllers for their own purposes. Their processing is described in their own privacy notices.

9. International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside Serbia or the European Economic Area. Where applicable, we rely on a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards required by Serbian data protection law and, where applicable, the GDPR. You may contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to a particular transfer.

10. How long we retain data

  • Comments and their metadata are normally retained indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognised and moderated. A comment may be deleted earlier on a valid request, subject to legal exceptions.
  • The consent preference cookie is retained for 180 days.
  • Optional comment-author cookies normally last for one year.
  • Routine enquiries are normally retained for up to 24 months after the last communication, unless they lead to a client relationship, are needed for legal claims, or a longer period is required by law.
  • Server and security logs are retained according to the hosting provider’s rotation and security schedule, only for as long as reasonably necessary for operation, troubleshooting and security.
  • Backups are retained according to a rolling backup schedule and are overwritten in the ordinary course.
  • Yandex Metrica data is retained according to the counter settings and Yandex’s terms; Session Replay recordings are currently available for up to 15 days.

11. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability where applicable, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise a right, email fourpixelsweb@gmail.com. We may need limited information to verify your identity. If you believe your data has been processed unlawfully, you may complain to the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Serbia: https://www.poverenik.rs/. If the GDPR applies to you, you may also have the right to complain to the competent supervisory authority in your country.

12. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

13. Children

The Site is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed to children. Please do not submit a child’s personal data through comments or direct enquiries unless you have a lawful reason and authority to do so.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Site, services or legal requirements change. The current version and its update date will be published on this page.
